DESIGN

Every Subaru model is designed with features important to you, from fuel efficiency to cargo space, and all the creature comforts to love every day's journey.

33 MPG FUEL EFFICIENCY

33 MPG FUEL EFFICIENCY

The durable SUBARU BOXER® engine provides a low center of gravity for a well-balanced feel and gets up to 33 mpg** highway for a fuel-efficient drive.

Standard on: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited

SPACIOUS INTERIOR

SPACIOUS INTERIOR

The Outback features a spacious 143.6 cubic feet of interior room with soft-touch surfaces and upgraded materials. It also includes an available 10-way adjustable power driver's seat with memory function, and a 60/40-split fold-down rear seat with cargo-area release levers makes sure there's enough room for whatever the trip requires, pets included.

TECHNOLOGY

From the little digital luxuries to the unique SUBARU BOXER® engine, every vehicle is intelligently designed for all the right reasons.

EYESIGHT® DRIVER ASSIST TECHNOLOGY

EYESIGHT® DRIVER ASSIST TECHNOLOGY

Using two cameras mounted near the rearview mirror to monitor objects in front of the vehicle, the EyeSight driver assist technology[1] can react to conditions even before you do. An alert will be sounded along with a visual warning when it senses the danger of a frontal collision. It can even apply the brakes automatically if you don't. It also optimizes cruise control and can warn you when you're swaying outside your lane.

Available on: 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R Limited

X-MODE

X-MODE

X-MODE adjusts engine response, optimizes the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, and actively employs the braking and traction control systems to maximize grip on slippery surfaces. It also helps provide additional traction when navigating steep inclines with Hill Descent Control.

Standard on: All models

SAFETY

Features like the control and handling of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and an extensive protection system show that your safety is always at the forefront of Subaru design.

BLIND SPOT DETECTION AND REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT

BLIND SPOT DETECTION AND REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT[2]

Using radar sensors, the Blind Spot Detection system warns you if it senses a vehicle within your blind spot, while Rear Cross Traffic Alert[2] lets you know if there is traffic approaching from the side as you are backing up.

Available on: 2.5i Premium

Standard on: 2.5i Limited, 3.6R Limited

SYMMETRICAL ALL-WHEEL DRIVE

SYMMETRICAL ALL-WHEEL DRIVE

Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive sends power to all wheels simultaneously for maximum traction. And in slippery conditions, it instinctively sends power to the wheels with the best traction, helping you stay on the road and on course. Working in conjunction with other Subaru engineering features such as Vehicle Dynamics Control, the Anti-lock Braking System, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution, the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system gives you the control, handling and confidence that other systems can't match.

Standard on: All models

[1]Eyesight® is a driver assist system which may not operate optimally under all driving conditions. The driver is always responsible for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors such as vehicle maintenance, and weather and road conditions. See Owner's Manual for complete details on system operation and limitations. Please remember to turn off EyeSight when going through a car wash.

[2]Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are systems designed to assist the driver by monitoring the rear and side areas of the vehicle during a lane change or reversing and are not a substitute for safe and attentive driving.
